Educational awareness for midlife women’s health, menopause care, and access issues in Mississippi.

Helping Mississippi Better Understand Midlife Women’s Health

Midlife Mississippi is an educational and awareness initiative focused on menopause, hormone-health conversations, healthcare access, affordability, and the real-world challenges women may face across our state.

Why This Project Exists

Many women experience major physical, mental, emotional, and quality-of-life changes during perimenopause, menopause, and midlife. The goal of this project is to better understand what Mississippi women and providers are seeing in real life.

Education

Helping improve awareness around menopause, hormone-related symptoms, and the importance of informed conversations with qualified healthcare professionals.

Access

Learning where barriers may exist, including cost, insurance limitations, provider access, rural healthcare challenges, and confusion about treatment options.

Listening

Gathering professional insight from Mississippi clinics and providers to better identify needs, gaps, patterns, and opportunities for future awareness efforts.

This is a listening-first effort.

Midlife Mississippi is not a medical clinic and does not provide medical advice. This project begins with listening, learning, and gathering information from professionals who work with women every day.

Before building major campaigns or making policy recommendations, the first step is to better understand the current landscape in Mississippi.

Provider Access & Awareness Survey

Clinics, providers, and women’s health organizations can complete the provider survey on a dedicated page.

Help us understand Mississippi’s midlife women’s health landscape.

The survey gathers professional insight about menopause care, education gaps, insurance concerns, access barriers, and affordability issues.

What We Are Trying to Learn

This project is focused on understanding patterns, not making assumptions.

Care Barriers

Are women having difficulty finding knowledgeable care, especially in rural parts of Mississippi?

Coverage & Cost

Are patients facing insurance limitations, prior authorization delays, high out-of-pocket costs, or medication coverage gaps?

Awareness Gaps

Are women receiving enough information about symptoms, treatment conversations, and when to seek professional care?
